At Radiant Laser Prep, we bring the future of industrial cleaning to your doorstep! Our advanced laser cleaning technology removes rust, paint, grease, oxides, and other contaminants safely, efficiently, and without damage to the base material - Saving you time, money, and effort

It really depends on the size of the area and , our lasers can clean the substrate material and surface size. please feel free  to call for a estimate. Call/Text 971-208-5851 or email shaun@radiantlaserprep.com for specific pricing. ( free proof of concept with in PDX)

The laser cleaning process uses a high intensity laser beam. By directing the pulse of the laser onto the surface, contaminants absorb the energy, which causes them to break down. they will either vaporize (organic materials) or detach their bonds from the base material as dust.

Our lasers have the ability to increase or decrease power, allowing us to clean a variety of surfaces and materials such as:

✅ Common Materials That Can Be Laser Cleaned:

  • Metals (most ferrous & non-ferrous)

Steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass, titanium

  • Stone & Masonry
Granite, marble, brick, concrete (great for restoration work)

  • Wood surfaces
For specific coatings or surface treatments
  • Glass & Ceramics

For removing surface contaminants or coatings (low-power, carefully controlled)

    Great for Removing:

  • Rust and corrosion
  • Paint and powder coatings
  • Grease and oil
  • Oxidation (including weld prep and post-weld cleanup)
  • Mold, soot, and smoke damage
  • Anodizing or passivation layers
  • Adhesive residues
  • Graffiti on metal, stone, or concrete

Sometimes yes - but it's minimal and controlled

When removing grease, paint, oil, or other flammable organic materials, laser cleaning can cause a brief flash or small flame, especially if the layer is thick or oily. This happens because the laser’s energy rapidly heats and vaporizes the organic material, and in some cases, that vapor can ignite momentarily.

But here's the key:

  • It's controlled – Laser techs are trained to monitor and manage this.

  • No open flame is used, and it’s nothing like torching or burning.

  •  Ventilation and extraction systems are often used to safely handle fumes or particles.

  • So yes, a small flame or flash can occur, but it’s part of the process and is managed safely.

  • Non-contact & Non-abrasive - Unlike sandblasting or chemical cleaning, it does not physically wear down the base material. The substrate material is unaffected by the laser oblation process.
  • High precision - The laser is able to clean around parts with ease. Without effecting other parts around it. making it more precise, than other methods.
  • In most cases the parts can be cleaned while still assembled and in place.
  • Eco-friendly - No need for chemicals, solvents, or additional waste materials to clean up or dispose of. The laser vaporizes or turns the oxidation to dust which can be vacuumed into a filtration system, if needed.
